1️⃣ From 1st October Facebook are updating their policies and procedures
2️⃣ As DJs and Producers this will affect us big time
3️⃣ The New Music Guidelines
4️⃣ Use of music for commercial or non-personal purposes in particular is prohibited unless you have obtained appropriate licences.
5️⃣ You May not use videos on our Products to create a music listening experience - Live Streams !!
6️⃣ If you do share music your videos will be blocked and your page, profile or group may be deleted.
7️⃣ This includes Live Videos
8️⃣ So what does this mean for DJs and Producers
9️⃣ We are going to have to educate our fans and followers about platforms like Mixcloud / Soundcloud and possibly YouTube, but again with YouTube they too can be strict with copyright.
